It’s an event for handpan enthusiasts, players, musicians and anyone curious about making music! Whether you’re a brand new handpan player, an intermediate+ musician, or simply curious about the instrument, you’re invited to a splendid & relaxing afternoon full of handpans, music & sweet vibes.

Don’t have a handpan? No worries! Some instruments are provided, including frame drums, shakers, djembes, acoustic instruments & a few extra handpans floating around! (BYO instruments encouraged!!!)

WHAT’S A SOUND MEDITATION?!
During our sound meditation, you’ll be immersed in the relaxing sounds of metal & crystal singing bowls, Native American style flute, handpan, chimes & rattles, symphonic gong, vocal explorations, and more! This one hour immersive sound meditation creates an opportunity for participants to reach the theta brain wave state, where the body is known to rest and digest & restorative processes can occur. Sound healing is an ancient practice that is known to have many powerful effects on both the mind and body. This meditative technique can be helpful for stress, anxiety, depression & PTSD, and offers a chance for deep relaxation & grounding after the hustle of daily routine.

EVENING FLOW:
* INTRO & SKILL SHARE – Excited about something you learned about the handpan? Stoked to show/teach others?! Now’s the time! We open the afternoon with a learning pod and if we want to get into jamming, right away, that’s ok too!
* SPIRIT JAM TIME – Unleash you inner muse in music mode… meaning bring your handpan and/or other instruments and we’ll spend about an hour jamming!
* “CLOPEN MIC” CIRCLE – Closing the “hangout” part of our time together, inspired participants may opt to share a piece or pattern they’re working on, in a song in the round style circle share. If nobody is moved to share… we’ll keep jamming!
* GET COMFORTABLE – Time for guests to get settled into comfortable positions, so make sure to bring all your necessary items to be comfortable laying on the floor – yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye covering if needed.
* RELAX & RESTORE – Enjoy an hour of blissful immersion in sacred sounds, allowing the mind to drift as needed, as the body reverberates with restorative frequencies. Our goal with this offering is for you to leave the event feeling refreshed & renewed
