People from all walks find joy in sharing community at Ruscombe.  Community service volunteering is a great way to find your sense of purpose in the world, while doing some good with like-minded folks, and making friends.

The Ruscombe Mansion Garden Club is Blooming!

At any time of year there is work to do, from the planning stages of the winter months and sprouting seeds in early Spring, to the transplanting and weeding that quickly turns to harvesting and composting in the Summer and Fall. At the Ruscombe Mansion on our green acre of an oasis, exciting projects and ideas are always sprouting.  We are blessed with many nearby community members joining the fun, but we can always use more hands that like to get dirty!   

We are an on-going, show-up-as-you-can group, making plans and actualizing medicinal plant gardens, landscaping, herb gardens, flowers, native plants, vegetables, greenhouses, seed start-ups and houseplant fun. The goal is to come together, plan together, work together and grow together while sharing our love of planty everything.

Other Volunteer Opportunities with the Ruscombe Community 

• Community Outreach: representing Ruscombe at farmer’s markets, events, and health fairs
• Social Media: posting our events on social media
• Ruscombe Education: Help set up/break down special events and workshops
• Front Office Administration: Greet visitors, answer phones, bookkeeping, website
• Historical Research: Ongoing project to document the history of the Mansion and land
• Cataloging and restoring the AUM library of esoteric volumes
• Cooking classes, kitchen and marketplace support
