Presented by Sufi Order Baltimore
Led by Yasmin Haut
Remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of the world for a while. Recall your authentic being. Renew and replenish yourself with this one-day retreat. In Sufi Sesshin, we alternate active spiritual practices (e.g., chanting, sacred dance) with silent seated meditation. Sesshin is a Zen Buddhist practice and means “touching heart-mind.” (Ziraat Lodge to celebrate the equinox as part of our day together.)
Yasmin Haut has been leading Sufi Sesshin for many years. She is a Sheikha (i.e., senior teacher and leader) of Sufi Ruhaniat International. As a student of the Sufi Message for the past 30 years, Yasmin leads retreats, dance circles, and teacher meditation and yoga workshops nationally and internationally as a way of exploring “Unity” in its many forms. She has previously led day-long seminars for our Baltimore group on the Aramaic Lord’s Prayer. She lives in Central PA with her wife and three cats.
