Tuesday, April 23, 6PM-8:30PM
The April full moon is often called the Wind, Fish, or Pink Moon, and as the full moon shines upon us on Tuesday April 23rd all over the world, we’ll bring home its radiant glory at the Ruscombe Mansion Community. We’ll celebrate through the Dragon Boat Festival and Shinto feast of the Divine Couple from Japan; Buddha’s Birthday; and the Goddess Venus.
Full Moon Gatherings
Join us each month at Ruscombe for an enchanting evening under the luminous glow of the full moon! The Full Moon Gatherings are a series of in-person events that empower and reconnect us with the strong healing of Grandmother Moon, and allow us to find rhythm between ourselves and the external world. We will connect to the more-than-human world, and with each other, as we share Full Moon teachings from cultures around the world, create ceremony to invoke lunar energy, and experience a different healing modality each lunation.
The April full moon is often called the Wind, Fish, or Pink Moon and as the full moon shines upon us on Tuesday April 23rd all over the world, we’ll bring home its radiant glory at the Ruscombe Mansion Community. We’ll celebrate through the Dragon Boat Festival and Shinto feast of the Divine Couple from Japan; Buddha’s Birthday; and the Goddess Venus. We will honor the April moon symbolizing renewal, growth, and fertility through flower offerings to the reflection of the moon in our meditative goldfish pond behind the Mansion. Please bring graciously-picked spring flowers from your yard or local wild area, being sure to leave some behind. Phlox is particularly appropriate, as, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, phlox is where the “Pink Moon” derives its name.
Weather permitting, we will be outside for most of the evening. We will provide chairs, blankets, mats, and bolsters for comfort, but feel free to bring your own. Per the celebration of Buddha’s Birthday, you are invited to wear brightly colored clothing, a necklace you love, and remember your flowers! You can also bring a journal, and any small offering for the lunar altar, such as a picture, gem stone, or other natural item.
Don’t miss out on this captivating event! Mark your calendars and join us for the Full Moon Gatherings. Embrace the mystical energy and create unforgettable memories together. See you there!
Pre-registration encouraged, but Drop-Ins also welcome.
Proceeds from this event benefit the 501(c)3 Ruscombe Community, Inc. FEIN 92-2794876
