What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing our membership communications and helping to keep our community informed and engaged.
- Scheduling meetings and coordinating events, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
- Handling event registration and staffing — we want our events to be super fun and efficient!
- Running the nitty-gritty of our operations, including managing mailings, lists, and schedules.
- Dipping your toes into grant writing and research — every bit helps us grow.
- Distributing fliers and getting the word out about exciting happenings!
- Preparing reports and writing press releases that showcase all the great things we do.
- Reviewing leasing documents, invoicing, and recordkeeping — keeping everything in order.
- Maintaining our filing systems, because a tidy office is a happy office!
Responsibilities
The Assistant Office Manager at Ruscombe Community will provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Executive Director.
General administrative duties including membership communications, scheduling meetings, event registration and staffing, managing mailings, lists and schedules, grant writing and related research, distributing fliers, preparing reports and press releases, review of leasing documents, invoicing, recordkeeping and maintaining appropriate filing systems.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively with practitioners, community members and Board leaders, donors, trustees, and volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with software programs including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Google apps. Prior experience in bookkeeping and Quick Books Online a plus. Photoshop, Illustrator & Acrobat and InDesign a plus.
- Familiarity and comfort with grants management software, customer relationship management systems, or similar information technology a plus.
