Through the Ruscombe Community Education Program:

You can arrange for an individual or group of practitioners to address your organization. One-time workshops, half or full-day experiential sessions or ongoing series are available. Topics range from surveys of non-conventional healing arts and what they have to offer to interdisciplinary approaches to a wide variety of specific illnesses, like arthritis, cancer, depression, women's health issues and chronic pain.

COMMUNITY RENTAL SPACE

The Ruscombe Mansion has several comfortable conference rooms with seating from 10 to 50 and spacious rooms for movement classes or workshops. Attached kitchens, audio visual equipment for additional rental fees, and free parking. Daily and hourly rates available.

Conveniently located near Interstate 83, several fine hotels, a whole foods market and grocery stores. Reservations, down payment and security deposit required.

The Community Hall (above) measures approximately 27 x 27 feet and is perfect for movement therapy, yoga classes, lectures and workshops. Tables and comfortable chairs available to seat 50. One wall is lined with mirrors, another wall with windows. Most convenient entry directly from our well-lit parking lot lower level.

The Conference Room (right) measures approximately 18 x 24 feet. The accents of this living room setting are the hard wood floor, beautiful Oriental carpet, sofa and upholstered chairs plus new conference style tables with comfortable seating for 24. Enter from the front porch by following the slate path leading up from the parking lot, turn left at the top, across the porch and through the front door of the Hill House. The Conference Room is the first room to your right, before the main staircase.

The Hill House Kitchen, a cozy room for a small group to prepare and eat a meal or take a break from your workshop or an intimate cooking class, is available for an additional rental.

The William Penn Hall measures approximately 17 x 17 feet and can seat up to 24 with chairs around the room and the center dining room style table. The brick-floored greenhouse between the Mansion Kitchen and William Penn Hall has a working fountain, a lively growth of herbs and perennials, and lots of sunshine enticing anyone in search of a meditative or quiet niche for lunching, reading or working.

The Mansion Kitchen is amply equipped to teach cooking classes for up to 20 people or can be rented to prepare and serve meal breaks for your workshops. The attached William Penn Hall with its charming little greenhouse can be rented as a dining room for meal breaks or as a separate conference room.

Follow the slate path up the ramp from the parking lot and around the curve through the front door of the Mansion. Beyond the main staircase turn left, and then right into the William Penn Hall (WPH). Pass through the WPH to enter the Mansion Kitchen. There is also a secondary door to the outside from the Mansion Kitchen leading to a side porch where supplies can be carried in more conveniently.

Rental Rates

All public space rooms rent for $30.00 per hour, with a 20% discount available for full weekend rentals or a minimum of 10 hours. Kitchens may be rented for preparation of meal breaks for a $40 flat fee, but the hourly rates would apply for a cooking class. All fees subject to change without notice.

Special Essentials

By special arrangement with the Ruscombe Property Manager, you can rent our overhead projector, slide projector, screen, VCR and monitor, for an additional rental amount of $25 each. Podium and chalkboard also available for no extra charge.

All renters should understand that both the Mansion and the Hill House are places for healing work. While you are renting and using our space, healing therapies may be going on at the same time by other practitioners. We ask you to respect any space you are using as part of the quiet, peaceful healing atmosphere we try to maintain at Ruscombe.
